CAIRO – 3 May 2024: Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St Mark Diocese led the Good Friday mass at the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbasiya district, attended by a host of bishops and priests.
The pope will also preside over Easter prayers at the cathedral on Saturday in the presence of top state officials, diplomats, journalists and parliament members.
The prayers will be wired on Egyptian TV, Coptic channels, and the official page of the spokesman of the church.
